“I got inspired in 2017 to start working with pewter in my backyard to resist the dying of traditional crafts. Pewtersmiths are something that have kind of disappeared. I was on a trip to Williamsburg talking to the silversmith there, and he was pretty pessimistic about traditional crafts, and how so much craft is now focused on profits. There’s dignity in things that are made by hand, things that are accessible for everyone..."

Jean Rigsbee’s background is rooted in art. She holds a BFA in painting, and while she was in art school she began doing her own framing and learned the basics of cutting glass and building frames. After graduation, she tried the office world, but it didn’t take long to realize that framing felt much more like her.

When Dianna and Jesse Bennett opened Huckleberry’s, they wanted to capture a bit of Mark Twain’s Americana and the river-town soul of Edenton. With some classic, whimsical decor and their warm, friendly staff, they’ve created a place where families can make memories together.

We had the BEST time celebrating 250 years of American independence with our friends, neighbors, and visitors. It was a hot one, but that certainly didn't stop Edenton from shining!

For over 12 years, Mark and Theresa Thesier have welcomed visitors aboard The Libertea, a six-passenger tour boat that has become a beloved part of Edenton’s waterfront.
